Day 1

Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

 

Day 2

Reykjavik
Explore Reykjavik's past and present. Get a fantastic view from the Pearl. Visit Hallgrimskirkja church. Continue to the harbour and the famous 101 Reykjavik neighbourhood.  Enjoy Reykjavik’s nature, the salmon river Ellidaa running through it and the thermal beach at Nautholsvik.

 

Day 3

Reykjavik - Thingvellir - Gullfoss Waterfall – Selfoss
Travel to the ancient Viking Parliament area of Pingvellir National Park. Drive to Gullfoss, the “Golden Falls” and explore the fascinating geothermal area of Geysir. Explore the geyser Strokkur “the churn”, which spouts up to seventy feet every six minutes. Continue to Selfoss.

 

Day 4

Selfoss
Travel to the famous, still active, volcano of Hekla. Continue to the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Admire the picturesque scenery. Travel to Vík and Reynisfjara. See the striking rock formation and the endless black sand beach.

 

Day 5

Selfoss- Borgarnes 80km/1h30min - Stykkisholmur 70km/1h30min
Departure to Borgarnes. Explore the national park and the dominating glacier on Snafellsnes peninsula. Drive through lava fields. Arrival in the town of Stykkisholmur.

 

Day 6

Stykkisholmur
Visit Bjarnarhofn and explore the unique Icelandic food culture. Explore the town of Stykkisholmur and continue with a cruise to Breidafjordur bay, famous for the birds.

 

Day 7

Snaefellsnes Peninsula - Blue Lagoon – Grindavik - Reykjiavik
Admire the legendary Snaefellsjökull glacier which covers a powerful central volcano. Explore the fascinating columnar formations of Arnarstapi. Enjoy the beach at Budir. Travel to the Blue Lagoon. Departure to Reykjavik.

 

Day 8

Transfer to the airport.
