Day 1

Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

 

Day 2

Chisinau
Enjoy the panoramic tour of Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. See the Arc de Triomphe. Visit the Cathedral. Upon declaring its independence from the USSR, Moldova began converting the cathedral back into a holy space, restoring the bell tower and recommencing services. See the Moldovan Parliament and continue to the Opera and ballet palace. Explore the Rose Valley, a nine hectare park featuring three major lakes.

 

Day 3

Chisinau - Capriana - Milestii Mici 100km/1h30min – Chisinau 140km/2h
Travel to the Capriana Monastery, one of the oldest and most beautiful monuments in the Republic of Moldova, the cradle of  Moldovan literature, music and architecture. Departure to the Milestii Mici village, internationally famous for its impressive wine collection, known as the Golden Collection. It has been acknowledged in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest wine collection in Europe with 2 million bottles of wine. Wine tasting and then return to Chisinau.

 

Day 4

Chisinau – Curchi – Butuceni – Trebujeni - Chisinau
Travel to the most scenic areas in the centre of Moldova and get to the Curchi Monastery, one of the most important architectural monuments of Basarabia. Visit the ancient city "Old Orhei", a unique natural and historical complex in the open air. Continue to Orheiul Vechi. Explore a fabulous, carved in stone world that suddenly emerges.

 

Day 4

Chisinau – Soroca 150km/2h - Chisinau
Departure to the Soroca Fortress, a well-preserved Middle Age fortress with stout stone walls right down by the riverside, intended to daunt unwelcome guests. Get to the Gipsy Hill in the centre of the city, where luxurious gypsy palaces stand. Soroca is the capital of Moldovan Gypsies: over 50 years ago the richest Gypsy families of Eastern Europe settled  here.

 

Day 5

Transfer to the airport.
