Day 1

Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. 

 

Day 2

Amsterdam
Enjoy one day in Amsterdam. Visit the Westerkerk, one of the oldest churches, built in Dutch Renaissance style. Enjoy the view of the world-famous Concert gebouw, the city's premier classical music venue. Continue on to Ann Frank House and learn more about the terrible circumstances the Jewish teenager had to endure to survive World War II. Visit one of the oldest diamond factories Coster Diamonds. Get to know some of the winning formulas of Heineken in its museum. Enjoy a canal cruise and get a different view on the city.

 

Day 3

Amsterdam - Rotterdam 70km/1h - Amsterdam
Explore Rotterdam with its spectacular modern architecture. Go to the Old Harbor, one of the most memorable sights in Holland. See the quirky, cube-shaped houses, the yellow Cube Houses, the Kijk-Kubus. See the dark-red Nieuwe Willemsbrug,and a single-span suspension bridge Erasmusbrug. Visit the Museumpark and explore all aspects of modern architecture. See Windmills De Ster and De Lelie, very handsomely situated on the side of the Kralingse Plas lake. Back to Amsterdam.

 

Day 4

Amsterdam - Zaanse-Schans -Volendam- Marken - Amsterdam
Departure to the ' Zaanse Schans', a well known windmill village with many interesting windmills. Explore the typical Dutch countryside of polders and little canals. Visit a wooden shoemaker here.Continue on to the world-famous fishing villages of Volendam and Marken. See wooden houses and locals wearing their colourful dresses. Visit one of the very few cheese farms where the cheese is still made in the traditional way.Back to Rotterdam.

 

Day 5

Amsterdam - The Hague 60km/1h - Amsterdam
Departure to The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government, and the residence of Queen Beatrix. Explore the working palace of Queen Beatrix and her staff, the splendid neoclassical Paleis Noordeinde and continue to the official royal residence, Paleis Huis ten Bosch in the Haagse Bos. Visit the famous museum Madurodam and see "Holland in a Nutshell". Explore Typical Dutch town scapes and famous landmarks. Feel a bit like Gulliver viewing Lilliput. Back to Amsterdam.

 

Day 6

Amsterdam - Utrecht 50km/1h - Haarlem 60km/1h - Amsterdam
Departure to Utrecht, a central Dutch city with a long history.Visit Dom church, the major religious building in the city. Explore the exterior,a lavishly decorated example of Dutch Gothic architecture. Continue to the 112 meter tall Domtoren, the highest church tower in the Netherlands. Climb up the stairs and enjoy the magnificent view. Travel to Haarlem. Visit Frans Hals Museum, the only good memory of the painter Toulouse-Lautrec about the Netherlands. Back to Amsterdam for overnight.

 

Day 7

Amsterdam - Alkmaar - Delft 90km/1h - Amsterdam 60km/1h
Drive to Alkmaar. Explore the Old city with all the historic buildings, the 16th century town-hall, Grote St. Laurens Church. Visit the famous Cheese market and Museum. Continue to Delft, a beautiful, unspoiled town with traditional architecture, canals, bikes, and the world famous blue and white ceramics. Explore the home to the Dutch royal family, The House of Orange. 

 

Day 8

Transfer to the airport.
