Day 1

Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

 

Day 2

Bratislava
Explore the historic Old Town, the Gothic St. Martin’s Cathedral and the Primate’s Palace, the neo-Classical residence of the Archbishop of Esztergom.Go to the quaint Main Square, with its craft market.

 

Day 3

Bratislava - Trencin 130km/1h30min - High Tatras 200km/2h30min
Travel to the historical town of Trencin. Explore the majestic castle of the medieval oligarch Matus. The next stop is in the Tatras. Unique chance to visit the Demanovska Cave of Freedom. Arrival in the High Tatras.

 

Day 4

High Tatras - Strbske Pleso- Pribylina - Liptovsky Mikulas- Tatranska Lomnica- Skalnate pleso- High Tatras
Visit Strbske Pleso, a spa town with a splendid mountain panorama. Travel to the open-air museum in Pribylina. Continue to Liptovsky Mikulas and return to the High Tatras, Tatranska Lomnica. It is here that a cable car trip to Skalnate pleso lake begins. 

 

Day 5

High Tatras - Kezmarok - Cerveny Klastor - Poprad 50km/1h
Explore the Gorals region, a specific area with a distinctive lifestyle. Very impressive is the wooden Lutheran church at Kezmarok. The next is the town of Cerveny Klastor in the Zamagurie region, where the former monastery compound is located. Arrival in Poprad.

 

Day 6

Poprad - Spisske Podhradie - Zehra - Levoca - High Tatras
Visit the medieval Spis Castle. The town of Spisske Podhradie along with the medieval church of Zehra lies impressively beneath the castle. Continue on to Levoca, visit its Renaissance town hall and the Gothic St. James Church. Return to the High Tatras. Enjoy a walk to the Cold Creek Waterfalls.

 

Day 7

High Tatras - Banska Bystrica130km/1h30min - Chateau Topolcianky 100km/1h - Bratislava 130km/1h30min
Continue to the Low Tatras. Admire the spectacular views of Certovica Pass. Stop in Banska Bystrica. It is an ancient mining center, with meticulous restored patrician houses. Visit the SNP Museum. See the neo-classical Chateau Topolcianky, a former summer residence of Czechoslovak presidents. Arrival in Bratislava.

 

Day 8

Transfer to the airport.
