Day 1

Cologne
Arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel.

 

Day 2

Cologne 
Today have a half day guided tour in this lovely city! Visit Kölner Dom, The Kölner Synagogue - notable for its impressive architecture  and  Veedel - City Quarters and the12 Romanesque Churches. Enjoy a cruise on the Rhine river and while on board view the winter panorama of Cologne Old Town.The balance of the day is free to explore the city on your own. Overnight.

 

Day 3

Cologne – Bonn (50km/50min) – Andernach
Leave Cologne behind and travel to Bonn - best known culturally as the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven. See the city landmarks and have a cruise to Andernach an old fortified town where your ship docks for the night.

 

Day 4

Andernach – Boppard 
Depart Andernach and cruise along picturesque river towns, vineyards and castles atop the hills and pass the legendary Lorelei Rock, where mythical sirens have lured sailors to their death on reefs below. In the afternoon your ship will arrive at Boppard and see the remarkable Carmelite church of the 15th Century and the other landmarks of the town. Overnight.

 

Day 5

Boppard – Cochem
The journey continues through the Rhine Gorge. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery, pass terraced vineyards and castles before your arrival at Cochem. Visit Cochem Castle that dominates the town and is an impressive feature. A restored 10th century ruin, the result is a mixture of styles that make it a pleasant and interesting building.

 

Day 6

Cochem – Coblence
Today cruise along hillsides scattered with lovely villages , beautiful river side promenades and wine regions. Arrive at Coblence, located on both banks of the Rhine at its confluence with the Moselle. See its imposing Citadel of the 10th C. and its picturesque little squares and medieval half timbered burgher houses.

 

Day 7

Coblence – Cologne
The cruise continues to Cologne, past the romantic Castle Rheineck surrounded by the “Seven Mountains”, a range of volcanic hills overlooking the Rhine. Arrival at Cologne and transfer to hotel for overnight.

 

Day 8

Cologne
Transfer to the airport for a final departure.
