Day 2

Morning - Departure at 11.00 a.m. behind the Alexander Nevski Cathedral. The daily panoramic tour of Sofia offers a pleasant scenic drive in the central part of the city. The highlights of the tour are: Alexander Nevski Cathedral – the biggest one in Bulgaria and according to many – the most spectacular building in Sofia, The Holy Synod, St. Sofia Church, The Bulgarian National Gallery for Foreign Art, The National Library, The National Palace of Culture, The Boris’ Garden – the biggest among Sofia parks and the Eagle’s Bridge, The monument of Vasil Levski - a great Bulgarian national hero, the Council of Ministers, the 16th century Banya Bashi Mosque, St. Nedelya – old metropolitan church, The Administration of the President and the National Archeological Museum, the former Royal Palace (now housing the National Revival Art Gallery and the Ethnographic Museum), National Assembly Square, where in the middle of the square sits the impressive Tsar Osvoboditel (King Liberator) monument erected in 1907 by the Italian sculptor Arnoldo Zocchi. Duration - 2 hours. This tour finishes at Alexander Nevski Cathedral.
