9 days 8 nights - Budapest - High Tatras - Krakow - Prague tour

 Enjoy a thrilling tour of Hungary, France, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic covering never to be forgotten scenic wonders and beautiful city tours.

 

 

Day 1  

ARRIVAL BUDAPEST
Arrival in Budapest. Check into hotel.

 

Day 2  

BUDAPEST
Morning city sightseeing tour starts with crossing the Danube on the Margaret Bridge and driving to the Royal Castle on the Buda side.  Here you will visit the Fishermen's Bastion (Promenade) and the Matthias Church (Interior visit). You will also climb the Gellert Hill for fantastic photo opportunities of the city before crossing Elizabeth bridge and driving by the City Park towards Heroes' square (Promenade).  Passing by the Opera and St. Stephen's Basilica. Overnight.

 

Day 3  

BUDAPEST - HIGH TATRAS (267km/4h20min) 
Departure to High Tatras. High Tatra is one of the most frequently visited alpine summits and the beauty of the panorama, make it one of the most visited destinations. Check into hotel and overnight.

 

Day 4  

HIGH TATRAS
The High Tatras are characteristic for their unusual glacial relief of its 25 dells, a remain of glacial activity.  The mountains offer scenic valleys, peaks, mountain lakes and forests rich in flora and fauna, as well as excellent opportunities for skiing, trekking and climbing.

 

Day 5  

HIGH TATRAS - KRAKOW (140km/2h30min)
After breakfast departure to Krakow. Your tour begins with a short walk along the streets of the former Jewish district of Kazimierz.  Next, Wawel Hill, crowned by Wawel Castle and Wawel Cathedral and the seat of royal power up until the 17th century. The other sights of the city you will see the next day. Overnight.

 

Day 6  

KRAKOW
Your tour begins with a walk up Grodzka street which leads you to the heart of Krakow, the Rynek Glowny, or Main Market Square.  In or around the square you will find some of the most well known Krakow sights, like the Cloth Hall, the Old Town Hall tower, St. Adalbert's Church and St. Mary's Church. You can visit St. Mary`s Church, which is one of the most beautiful and precious of all the historic periods

 

Day 7  

KRAKOW – BRNO (340km/4h10min) - PRAGUE (210km/2h30min)
After breakfast continue to Prague. Stop in Brno - the second largest city in the Czech Republic, the largest Moravian city, and the historical capital city of the Margraviate of Moravia. See The Villa Tugendhat in Brno which is the first monument of Czech modern architecture listed as a UNESCO cultural heritage site. Afterwards travel to Prague and overnight.

 

Day 8  

PRAGUE
You can start your tour of Prague from the Old Town Square, and see the buildings around the Square, then head through Karlova Street to Charles Bridge.  Stop for a while to enjoy the souvenir stands, performers, artists, musicians, or just the beautiful city views. Once you cross the bridge see the Baroque copper-domed  St Nicolas Church. Walk up  Nerudova Street to the Castle. Visit the Gothic St Vitus Cathedral and St George's Basilica, and the tiny charming houses of Golden Lane. If you still have time you can continue walking up to the Strahov Monastery and see the magnificent Strahov Library and Church. Overnight.

 

Day 9  

PRAGUE

Transfer to airport.
