Day 1

Prague
Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

 

Day 2

Prague
Explore Golden Prague and its major historical areas. Start from the New Town and the vibrant area of Wenceslas Square. Continue to the Old Town and the beautiful Lesser Town. Walk around the cobblestone side streets. Explore the churches and traditional Czech atmosphere. Enjoy the fine views over the river. Walk through the Prague Castle complex, the largest medieval castle complex in Europe and the ancient seat of Czech kings throughout the ages. Admire the grandeur of St Vitus Cathedral and the ancient architecture of the Old Royal Palace. Enjoy stunning views over the whole of Prague. Walk across the magnificent Charles Bridge and continue on to the Jewish Quarter. Explore synagogues, the cemetery and the streets of the former Jewish Ghetto. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 3

Prague - Karlovy Vary 130 km/2h
Travel to the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary, "Charles' Bath", named after Charles IV, King of Bohemia and the Holy Roman Emperor. Arrive at the Mill Colonade, a popular gathering place. Explore its 12 hot Springs. See Lazne I and Lanze III, beautiful spa buildings. Get to the Diana Lookout Tower and enjoy the view. Continue with a visit of Church of St. Peter & St. Paul. Overnight in Karlovy Vary

 

Day 4

Karlovy Vary - Ceske Budejovice 230 km/3h30min
Departure to Pilsen, the home and birthplace of the Pilsener beer. Visit the famous Pilsner Urquell Brewery. See the building of the Town Hall, a Renaissance masterpiece. Continue to the heart of South Bohemia, Ceske Budejovice. Explore its unique historical market square. Visit St. Nicholas Cathedral. Admire the view from the Black Tower. Explore Samson\'s Fountain and the distinct yellow-colored Vcela Palace.  Overnight in Ceske Budejovice.

 

Day 5

Ceske Budejovice - Cesky Krumlov - Trebon 50 km/1h – Ceske Budejovice
Drive to the UNESCO town of  Cesky Krumlov. Admire its numerous medieval buildings.  Visit Cesky Krumlov Castle, the most interesting site in town. Its architectural standard, cultural tradition, and expanse, ranks among the most important historic sites in central Europe.  Departure to the picturesque little town of Trebon, a centre of the Bohemian fishing lake area. Visit Trebon Castle. Walk through  the old town. Enjoy the beer directly from the Regent Brewery. Back to Ceske Budejovice for overnight.

 

Day 6

Ceske Budejovice - Telc 100km/1h30min – Lednice-Valtice 60km/1h - Brno
Continue to the UNESCO listed historical town of Telc. Explore its beautiful Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings. Continue to Lednice-Valtice in South Moravia. Taste the famous local wines. The tour starts with a visit of the Valtice and Lednice Chateaux, a Neo-Gothic castle, included in the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage sites. Walk around a magnificent park with many romantic buildings, John’s castle, Apollo’s chapel, three Graces, St. Hubert chapel. Explore the Palace Mineret, reputed to be the largest outside the Islamic world. Drive to the national nature reserve of the Moravian Karst. Continue with a boat ride on its subterranean River Punkva and a visit of the Macocha Abyss.  Departure to Brno, the heart of Moravia. Overnight in Brno..

 

Day 7

Brno - Hradec Kralove 150 km/2h30min
Walk around the central Freedom Square. Visit the historic Spilberk Castle. Drive to the garden city of Kromeriz and Olomouc. Explore its numerous churches and the largest collections of historical monuments in the country. Departure to Hradec Kralove for overnight.

 

Day 8

Hradec Kralove – Kutna Hora 60km/1h - Prague 80km/1h30min
Travel to the beautiful historical UNESCO town of Kutna Hora, a silver mining town in medieval times. Visit Hradek, the Czech museum of silver, the Royal Mint and continue to the St. Barbora's Cathedral. Departure to Prague for overnight.

Transfer to the airport.
