Mozart visited Prague on four occasions in the 1780’s and 1790’s and his works were rapturously received. Mozart is claimed to have said: "My Praguers understand me". Anyway, the relation between Mozart and Prague is special. Discover Mozart’s Prague on this unique tour. Visit the important sites throughout Prague that were significant in the life of the famous Composer. See the Strahov Monastery where Mozart performed Don Giovanni, and the church where his Requiem was held.

 

 

Day 1

Arrival at Prague and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 2

Join the  half-day guided tour of the city :  Walk through the Old Town, around Old Town Square and see the famous Astronomical Clock at the edge of the old Town. See the Tin Church, Powder Tower, Municipal House, Jewish Quarter. Continue from there down toward the Vltava River and walk across Charles Bridge. Today’s tour ends at Charles Bridge. Evening – Classical music concert at church. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 3

Today we see the Castle area. Across the Vltava River and up  the hill to the most massive castle complex in continental Europe: Prague Castle. We’ll tour the impressive Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and St. Vitus Cathedral. We finish the tour at Golden Lane, with the amazing atmosphere of Kafka’s Prague. after sightseeing enjoy a concert at the  Lobkowicz Palace in Prague Castle, and after the concert tour the castle. In the afternoon enjoy a boat trip /Afternoon Tea Cruise on the Vltava RiverOvernight in Prague.

 

Day 4

Following Mozart’s Footsteps
Discover the places in Prague where the genius composer Mozart stayed. The tour takes you on foot through the Old Town to stop at the Golden Angel house and the Estates Theatre where the premiere of the opera Don Giovanni was presented on October 29, 1791, and the Three Golden Lions house, where Mozart lived during his second stay in Prague. Then we go to the Museum of Music and returning to the Old Town, we go to the Strahov Monastery on Hradcany, where Mozart held concerts and lived. The walking tour concludes at the St. Nicholas Church, where a Requiem was held on December 14, 1791, as a tribute to Mozart and as a statement of the Czech nation’ s sorrow caused by his sudden death. The trip ends at Lesser Town, also known as the small quarter and full of attractions. Evening: Performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at National Marionette Theatre. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 5

Last view of Prague: Wenceslas Square
Wenceslas Square in Prague is a vibrant area of hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs. There are also banks and an array of local and international shops. This is the nightlife and entertainment center of Prague, and Prague's main shopping district begins.  Prague is a great place to shop for Czech souvenirs. The center of Prague is filled with souvenir shops offering all kinds of typical Czech goods: wooden toys, jewelry and crystal items. Before flight back, walk to Wenceslas square and find some souvenirs. Afternoon: transfer to the airport for final departure.
