PRAGUE BREAK OUT - 4 DAYS IN "GOLDEN PRAGUE”

 The Capital of the Czech Republic – Prague has 90% of all the visitors to the country, and You will find it really logical, after spending a few days in Prague.

 

 

Day 1

Arrival at Prague and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 2

The day starts with a half-day guided tour, starting with a walk down through the Old Town and around Old Town Square to see the famous Astronomical Clock at the edge of the old Town. Also see the Tin Church, Powder Tower, Municipal House and the Jewish Quarter. Continue from there down toward the Vltava River and walk across Charles Bridge. The tour will end at Charles Bridge (A stone Gothic bridge with Baroque statues that connects the Old Town and Lesser Town) Afternoon: Prague sightseeing II: Walk again to Charles Bridge for a second part of the city tour.  Walk across the bridge to cross over the Vltava River and up the hill to the most massive castle complex in continental Europe: Prague Castle. We’ll tour the impressive Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and St. Vitus Cathedral. We finish the tour at Golden Lane, with its amazing atmosphere of Kafka’s Prague. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 3

Optional: Visit Karlovy Vary (260km/4.20 min) – All-day tour
Karlovy Vary is a spa-town with mineral springs and a history that goes back to the middle ages. It is a serene, beautiful place with gracious colonnades and picturesque boulevards. This Spa town is surrounded by Forests.

OR Visit Kutna Hora (160 km/3 h) – All-day tour
Kutna Hora was one of the most important royal towns from the 13th to 16th century due to  its silver mines. The Cathedral of St. Barbara, built in 1348-1420 is a Gothic jewel of Kutna Hora.

OR Prague-Karlstejn Castle-Prague (70 km/1.30 min) Half-day tour
Built on a seemingly impregnable hillside in the 14th century by Charles IV, the Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, this gothic style castle housed treasures of the Holy Roman Empire, including the Czech coronation jewels.
Afternoon: Discover Prague by Yourself. Overnight in Prague.

 

Day 4

To end your visit to Prague spend some time in Wenceslas Square: Wenceslas Square is a vibrant area of hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs. There are also Banks and an array of local and international shops. This is the nightlife and entertainment centre of Prague as well as the main shopping district. Prague is a great place to shop for Czech souvenirs as it is filled with souvenir shops offering all kinds of typical Czech goods: wooden toys, jewelry and crystal items. Before your flight home, walk to Wenceslas square where you will find an interesting choice of souvenirs.. Afternoon: transfer to the airport for final departure
